What is the AIOS?
- The AIOS, established in 1930 and registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860, is India’s leading ophthalmic society with over 23,669 life members. It aims to advance the study and practice of ophthalmic sciences through education, research, and community service. The society organizes annual conferences featuring lectures, workshops, and hands-on training, and honors members with awards, orations, prizes, and fellowships.

- The APAO AIOS 2025 Congress will be held jointly from April 3-6 in New Delhi, India. Yashobhoomi, opened in September 2023, is located in Dwarka, New Delhi, only 10km from Indira Gandhi International Airport and Aerocity.
