The new Faros convinces with its cutting-edge Oertli technologies and a sophisticated level of user friendliness. The fresh design makes operation easy, the instrument connections are immediately accessible from the front, speeding up the surgical procedure tremendously. With the unique SPEEP pump the new Faros ensures that fluidics become a powerful tool as the SPEEP pump controls both flow and vacuum. This allows extremely precise maneuvers to be guaranteed.

The new Faros is available as an anterior segment device and as a combined platform (anterior and posterior segment). The newly integrated air compressor enables a completely autonomous anterior vitrectomy by applying the anterior segment version. The optimised cutter control together with the new Continuous Flow Cutter ensure excellent cutting force for smooth and traction-free work in the posterior segment.

The new, lighter and robust pedal rounds off the new performance perfectly. The commands can be easily defined by the surgeon using the pedal.

The new Faros offers an integrated MIGS technology as an option. The High Frequency Deep Sclerotomy (HFDS®) allows for an impressively low complication rate and excellent long-term results especially considering the short intervention time in glaucoma surgery.
