ACTIVE AND GRAVITY INFUSION

Designed for stable IOP

One of the most important characteristics during eye surgery is stable intraocular pressure (IOP). To maintain a stable IOP, we offer two possibilities of infusion systems: active and gravity.

CHOOSE YOUR PREFERRED INFUSION SYSTEM

Active infusion

  • Available on the OS 4 and Faros1
  • Gas forced driven
  • Designed for stable IOP
  • Pressure up to 120 mmHg (values from OS 4)
  • Fast reaction time for pressure change (e.g. bleeding)
  • Independent from room height due to fixed bottle

Available with combined Faros platform (anterior/posterior) in anterior segment surgery only.

Gravity infusion

  • Available on the OS 4, Faros and CataRhex 3
  • Mechanical driven
  • Designed for stable IOP
  • Pressure up to 100 mmHg / 135 cm (depending on eye level above ground)
  • Economic solution as part of phaco/vitrectomy packs
  • Controllable in cm or mmHg

A closed system by Oertli

Relying on a stable IOP during the entire surgery procedure needs several features which work hand in hand. Using the active or gravity infusion system with our surgical platforms and our phaco or vitrectomy instruments, you rely on a closed system which is the key to stable IOP.
